All late arrivals will need to report to the school office. If your child arrives between 8:45am to 9:30am, a reason will need to be provided and they will be marked as \u201clate\u201d on the register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any child that arrives after 9:30am will be marked as an \u201cunauthorised late\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendance is absolutely crucial to your child\u2019s success at school. There are many studies which show a direct link between a child\u2019s attendance and their performance at school.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our target is&nbsp;<strong>97%.<\/strong>&nbsp;In order to achieve this we need the support of parents to encourage their students to attend school every day. Every day of school missed is&nbsp;<strong>five hours of learning missed.<\/strong>&nbsp;If your child misses one day of school per week they will miss&nbsp;<strong>190<\/strong>&nbsp;hours of learning over the course of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In situations where parents fail to ensure regular school attendance or fails to ensure their child arrives on time, the Access and Attendance Team will consider issuing a Fixed Penalty Notice \u2013 \u00a380 payable within 21 days, rising to \u00a3160payable within 22-28 days.
